The replaceable(pilot cutter) belongs to the category of back-loading tools. In strata consisting of soft soil, soft rock, and cobblestones, it can be conveniently replaced in conjunction with disc cutters via a tool box and installation wedge blocks, while its working height remains consistent with that of the disc cutters. The rock-breaking principle of the tool utilizes the impact inertial energy generated by the rotation of the cutter head. Through the large cross-section head of the replaceable pilot cutter, it performs a "hammering" action to crush cobblestones and gravels in front of the cutter head. This prevents the failure of disc cutters during excavation in soft and weak strata. Such failure typically occurs because soft rocks, cobblestones, and gravels on the excavation face cannot be fixed, and the matrix strength is insufficient. Consequently, they cannot provide the disc cutters with enough rotational torque or the supporting force required for rock cutting.
